Can I order whatever produce items I want?
Yes. We make your life easier by pre-assorting several types and sizes of boxes producing the best weekly value possible. This takes the confusion out of buying seasonal produce. This allows standing orders to be delivered to our weekly and every other week customers automatically. We ask that you sign up for a box type and size. Once your order has been generated you have the unlimited ability to exchange items in and out of your order. You may also add additional produce and non-produce items to your order. Choose from our 15-20 fruits and 30-35 veggies available each week.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
Yes. Our minimum order is our Tiny Box - $29.95. Delivery is free of charge. You must order a produce box for the ability to add additional items to your order.
Is all the produce you offer certified organic?
Yes. We only purchase certified organic produce. We will never sell any conventional or as we like to call it “Chemical” produce. We specialize in organics but also work with “Natural” farmers. They grow using organic standards but have neglected to pay the high cost of certification. All produce sold will be clearly identified.
Where does your produce come from each week?
Our produce comes from local regional farms when available. Many people have differing views on what is to be considered a local product. Rather than putting a concrete distance on mileage from our location, we like to use a generally accepted definition of local as being “within a day’s leisurely drive from one's home”. Much of our weekly selection of produce fits into this definition.
We strive to locate items with the lowest carbon footprint. Our regions organic food comes from a limited number of organic farms. For this reason we must occasionally source from outside our local region. Items which cannot be grown in our local region are also sourced with our carbon footprint in mind.
Our deliveries are made in sealed cardboard boxes. The box contains a plastic liner and includes an icepack during the hotter months of the year.
What if I'm not home when my delivery arrives?
No Problem. All home orders are delivered to your doorstep before 7am in the morning. We do not require a signature nor do we knock or call. We will leave your order at your front door or otherwise specified location just like the milkman. This is also a great way for us to combat the high temperatures of summer.
