How do your boxes work?
1. What is your minimum order?
Our minimum order is our Tiny box. Delivery is free of charge.
2. Do I have to order a produce box?
Yes, we have specifically designed our service to work around the quantities in the boxes. We are a small business, and do not have the buying power of the major retailers. The service would be much more expensive, and probably not possible, outside of this format. You can always add additional items to your box.
3. Do I have to sign up for a subscription in order to get a box? I only want to try the service.
Yes. By signing up for a subscription, it lets us plan ahead with our ordering and ultimately makes your produce cheaper, and guess what? No sign-up fee, no charge for changes, no cancellation fee. You can change your subscription to one of our 16 different boxes at anytime. You can change the frequency to once a week or every other week. You can schedule vacations from service if you go away. You can also put your account on an indefinite hold. You can cancel any order as well.
Our box contents change weekly with the season and market conditions. Each Friday at Noon (12pm), our new weekly menu will be available. Emails will be sent to members at this time. Customers can log in to their account to view their custom weekly order. You can check out the weekly box contents on our Products page.
Sometimes Mother Nature throws us a curve ball, and we have to make last-minute adjustments to your box. If there is something that you don’t like in your box, just let us know and we will replace the item, add additional produce in your next box or credit your account accordingly.
5. Do I get the same thing each week?
No, we take the hassle out of finding what’s in season. Certain staple items will be available each week, though varieties will always change. Other seasonal items will keep you excited for your next order.
6. I don’t like something in this week’s box?
No problem – our computer system automatically customizes your box based off your personal preferences.
If you are repulsed by radishes, check the “Always Remove” box next to radishes in your preferences list.
If we’re planning something for the boxes and it’s on your “Always Remove” list, it will be automatically removed and an item from your “Fine to Place in Order” list will replace it per weekly menu limitations.
7. Can you specify where the weekly contents of my box come from?
We often purchase the same item from several growers in a particular week. It enables us to take smaller harvests and to give you a more reliable supply. We may also bring in supplies from different growers at the last minute, dependant on the weather, crop problems or increased demand from customers. We try to list what our sources as best as possible each week however the source is always subject to change.
8. I want to substitute some thing different in my box. What do I do?
For each order, you can make up to 3 substitutions! Once you receive your weekly email letting you know that your order is ready to be viewed, you can click on “my account”. You will see that your order has already been catered to your “preferences”. However, if you normally want, let’s say Bananas, but this week you had left over bananas from last week and you don’t want them. You can substitute something different in place of the bananas for no extra charge.
To complete this, click on your new order. Choose the “exchange” button next to the item that you want to exchange. Next choose the item you would like to substitute from the pop-up window. Click “exchange” next to item you wish to substitute. You will see the change reflected when you are brought back to your revised order.

9. What additional items do you have for sale? How do I add them to my current order?
To see the additional items for sale, click the “Products” tab at the top of the page from anywhere on the site. Here you will see a listing of the items available for additional purchase.
Adding items to your current order is easy. Once logged in to your account, from your home page, click on your current order. At the bottom of your order you will see a link labeled "Buy additional items". Clicking this link will open the additional items pop-up window. Choose the item and quantity that you would like to add to your order and click the "buy" button adjacent to the desired item.
Some items that are purchased may only be available in small quantities. These items may be limited due to many factors. As certain fruits and vegetables come in and out of season, their production can fluctuate greatly. This can cause an erratic supply. In other cases, we may be dealing with a small farmer that has only a limited supply.
